Girl Guiding what we do
Girl Guides have Go For Its.
These
are a range of resource books, each one has its own theme we have
Teamwork, Parties, Survival, Healthy Eating and many more. There are new ones being developed all the time to keep up to date with everything that is going on.
Each one is full of facts, games, ideas, crafts and activities to help you learn,you can work through these as you wish.
The Girl Guide Challenges.
These are for individuals to work on over a 12 month period.
There are five parts to these challenges and there are 4 challenges to complete.
Once you have completed 2 of the challenges you can then work towards the Baden Powell Challenge badge. There are 10 clauses to this challenge and are taken from the 5 zones.
They are:
- Healthy lifestyles
- Global awareness
- Discovery
- Skills and relationships
- Celebrating diversity.
There is also the Commonwealth Award.
You need to be 13 years or over to work for this and need to complete clauses
1, 2 and 3 and the another to clauses of your choice from the rest offered.
You cover challenges in:
- History of Guiding
- Knowledge of the Community
- Service within the community
- Health
- Environment
- Culture and Heritage
- Sport
- Public Speaking or Debating
- Creative Writing
- Civics
- Observation
